Teatro Regio of Turin is today one of the most important opera centers at international level as well as one of the most long-lived theaters in Europe with almost three centuries of Opera activity.

The facade of the Theater, recognized as a World Heritage Site, remains from the original 1740 complex. Rebuilt to a design by Carlo Mollino, it was inaugurated in 1973. The Regio now offers a wide artistic proposal such as opera, ballets, musicals, concerts and educational programs. The international activity of the Regio is realized with tours in Europe, Asia and the America. Equally important is the rich recording activity that now includes more than 30 titles including CDs and DVDs with all the most important artists of the international opera scene.


Innovation Live Entertainment

Within the Turin City Lab and in an effort to stimulate a different interest and intercept new audiences, the Teatro Regio offers new cultural and artistic format. Teatro Regio use a new technologies in order to make accessible the specific contents of the art and of the opera tradition, which the Regio embodies, through new methods and for a new audience. A corollary of proposals that invest three great levels: multimedia, accessibility, new artistic formats that will lead to an open, widespread and inclusive offer.

Multimedia: video mapping technologies, virtual reality and augmented reality.
Accessibility: technologies developed specifically to make the opera experience usable also for people with disabilities
Artistic: innovative solutions for the diffusion of the lyric culture outside the traditional contexts and the involvement in first person of the public through last generation devices.
